Description: The Mexican Hat is a colorful, drought tolerant, fast growing, perennial wild flower that grows best in inhospitable environments, and is mainly seen growing to their hearts content in the Southwest. It adapts easily to different environments, and is a heavy blooming show stopper. This variety boasts red to yellow drooping petals that surround tall, red-brown cones. Mexican Hat is great to use in cut flower arrangements, and are a cute addition to any summer garden. Plants grow a little over 2-3 ft. tall, and blooms mid summer straight through the fall. This variety is deer resistant, and pollinators love it. Prefers full sun and well draining soil.
