Description:   Sweet Marjoram is an aromatic herb very similar in flavor to oregano, but offers a more delicate sweet and spicy fresh flavor.  It is a key ingredient in many Mediterranean dishes, such as soups, stews, and a variety of meats and veggies, but its sprigs can also be used to flavor oils and vinegars.  You can use Sweet Marjoram's grey-green leaves fresh, throughout its growing season, or you can harvest it all, and dry it for later use, as well. This small bushy plant will spread rapidly, if constantly pinched and harvested, and makes for an attractive ground cover.  It can also be grown in containers or hanging pots for an attractive yet edible display.  Its white-pink flowers not only attract pollinators, but are edible with mild marjoram flavor, and can be used to garnish soups, salads, stuffings and sauces.  Sweet marjoram does not do well in cold weather, but thrives in warmer regions.
