It can be grown as an annual in most places, while some cooler zones are able to grow it as a perennial. Rhubarb is a cool weather crop that can live for 10+ years in cooler regions like the North. If you live in a warm zone, like I do, it is best to give them some shade from the harsh afternoon soon. This variety can be harvested in its second season of growing.
